M+ Museum in Hong Kong

Architect: Herzog de Meuron Basel Description: To specify a sustainable and durable fabric for upholstery which meets local fire requirements. Fabric: Brad Cork Fabric ''M+ is not just another museum. M+ is a cultural centre for 20th and 21st century art, design, architecture, and the moving image. As such, it embraces the entire spectrum of spaces, means of display and activities related to exhibiting and viewing these media. The spaces range from the conventional white cube, reconfigurable spaces, screening rooms and multipurpose facilities to so-called third spaces and even an 'Industrial Space'” says Herzog de Meuron.

Swiss Embassy in Mexico City

Architects: FHV + Blancasmoran   Interior Design: GREGO Architektur GmbH Briefing: The building is the new minimal residence for the Swiss Ambassador in Mexico City. While concrete is the dominant material used throughout, terrazzo floor and black granite volumes add to the building’s striking appearance. Greenery, nature, and textiles provide a softer composition juxtaposed alongside its geometrically defined austerity. Aside from the privacy and ambient, the textile also contributes to the acoustics.
