Denim is woven on old mechanical shaft looms and dyed with pigment colors by dipping into several dye baths where it gradually turns to the corresponding color.
As pigment colors can’t be completely fixated onto the cotton / linen fibres, the color will bleed and fade as long as the fabric will wear.
